Since even before we were married I would tell my wife stories to put her to sleep. It didn't matter if they were boring they were supposed to put her to sleep! So I would make them up on the spot and hope they go somewhere interesting enough for me. You might be wondering what on earth does this have to do with "Jobs Hobbies, and Interests" well I'll tell you. Some of my friends and my family know I have been searching for a job and trying to begin a career. After over 200+ job applications and many interviews I have been looking for ways to improve. I have found those bedtime stories to be similar to a job interview. Everything is spontaneous! I only have a small idea of what they are going to ask me, similar to these bedtime stories everything is on the spot with only a small amount of material to work with. I focus on giving my stories a beginning, middle, and end with interesting characters and wild experiences. I try very hard to go the whole story without pausing, "like's, and's, soooooo's and umm's". It's very difficult but has helped me in conversations with the interviewers to sound credible and well put together. TRY IT! Become a better speaker and a better spouse! ;)
